Sounding like early Lyrical Commission or Certified Wise beginnings, ‘Heads Up, Pens Down’ reminds me very much of early Strut and Simplex stuff harking back to the golden era (not the Hilltop label) days of the mid to late nineties in Australian hip-hop when artists found their accents and really started to evolve from the stereotypical image of the BBQ rap scene.
